About Baptist Hospital

Since 1960, Baptist Hospital of Miami has been one of the most respected medical centers in South Florida. Located just 20 minutes from Miami International Airport, the hospital's full range of medical and technological services is the natural choice for a growing number of people throughout the world. Baptist's Italian Renaissance architecture and beautiful grounds offer a serene, warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Inside the hospital, a highly qualified staff and the finest technology provide a model for treatment capabilities equaled by few other community hospitals.

In 1996, Baptist Hospital was one of only four Florida organizations to receive the prestigious Governor's Sterling Award for total quality management. In 1998, Baptist was recognized as a Magnet Hospital for Nursing Excellence by the American Nursing Credentialing Center, an affiliate of the American Nursing Association. Baptist was the first hospital in the state to earn this distinguished honor and is currently designated as a Magnet Hospital through 2026. It is part of less than 1 percent of hospitals in the nation to receive a sixth designation and is the only one in Florida to receive this honor six consecutive times.

Baptist Hospital is pleased to be part of an important movement to address the healthcare needs of communities across the nation. Learn more about our community health needs assessment and implementation plans.

Resources for Hospital Data

Florida's Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) makes available data on hospital prices and performance on their Internet website at FloridaHealthFinder.gov and Pricing.FloridaHealthFinder.gov. The data on hospital prices and performance are based on a compilation of charges for the average patient. A patient's bill may vary from the average shown, depending upon the severity of illness and individual care needs. The service bundle information is a non-personalized estimate of costs that may be incurred by the patient for anticipated services and that actual costs will be based on services actually provided to the patient.
