Baptist Health Foundation Announces Historic $50 Million Gift from Kenneth C. Griffin

MIAMI, FL – March 19, 2024
Baptist Health Foundation today announced the largest single donation in the nearly 65-year history of Baptist Health South Florida. The $50 million gift from Kenneth C. Griffin, founder and CEO of Miami-based hedge fund Citadel and founder of Griffin Catalyst, will advance neurological care in the region.

Tom C. Nguyen, M.D., chief medical executive of Baptist Health Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute and director of minimally invasive valve surgery, was installed as the Barry T. Katzen Medical Director Endowed Chair at a ceremony and dinner on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at the Ritz-Carlton Coconut Grove, Miami.

Baptist Health Foundation Receives $1 Million Gift from Carl DeSantis Estate

BOYNTON BEACH, FL – February 16, 2024
Baptist Health Foundation announced that Carl DeSantis has left a planned gift of $1 million in support of Bethesda Hospital, part of Baptist Health. The donation will help fund the renovation of the Emergency Department at Bethesda Hospital East.

TAVERNIER, FL - February 9, 2024
More than 250 guests attended A Bougainvillea Evening of Gratitude benefiting Baptist Health Mariners Hospital, which was held on January 27, 2024 at the Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada, Florida. The event raised over $260,000 as the Foundation celebrated its Giving Society members and other donors to Baptist Health Mariners Hospital in Tavernier.
