Glenn Waters

Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Glenn Waters is Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Baptist Heath South Florida, the region’s largest not-for-profit healthcare system that spans across Miami-Dade, Monroe, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Mr. Waters is responsible for the operations of Baptist Health’s 12 hospitals and more than 200 outpatient centers, urgent care facilities and physician practices, as well as Miami Cancer Institute, Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute, Baptist Health Orthopedic Care, Miami Neuroscience Institute, Lynn Cancer Institute, Marcus Neuroscience Institute and Lynn Heart & Vascular Institute. He also serves as incident commander overseeing all operations during hurricanes and other disasters/crises.

Prior to joining Baptist Health, Mr. Waters served on the senior leadership team at BayCare Health System, a healthcare provider in Clearwater, Florida, for 15 years. During his tenure at BayCare, he held the roles of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; President of BayCare’s Hospital Division; and President of Morton Plant Mease Health Care, a member organization of BayCare Health System. He has also held leadership positions at Moses Cone Health System in Greensboro, North Carolina; Wadley Regional Medical Center in Texarkana, Texas and Riverside Health System in Newport News, Virginia.

Mr. Waters holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Hampden-Sydney College and a Master of Hospital Administration from Medical College of Virginia (VCU). He has served on the Board of Directors of the Tampa Hillsborough Economic Development Corporation, United Way Suncoast and Eckerd Connects; and he is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives.
