Corporate Development

The Corporate Development program establishes partnerships with select corporate enterprises aimed at designing, developing, validating and bringing to practice novel medical interventions, including devices, software applications and therapies.

Our novel program seeks to meet Baptist Health’s healthcare and administrative needs through collaborations with companies that possess breakthrough technologies, development programs and/or capabilities that could be applied to meet important healthcare needs. Via a unique collaboration mechanism, Baptist Health’s thought leaders contribute clinical insight and coordinated access to our infrastructure toward ultimate product design and clinical validation of emerging products.

In return for our contributions, Baptist Health becomes a vested partner in the company through a combination of equity, downstream licensing royalties, and development- or milestone-based fees (i.e. development-based fees or milestone-based fees). This program is a key platform to engage targeted partners with opportunities to improve the delivery of healthcare.
