We know administering care at home is an adjustment, especially when it comes to infusion. Our dedicated team of clinical pharmacists and nurses is here to assist you every step of the way. We offer education, resources, care coordination, and medication home delivery, ensuring you're confident in administering your treatment and monitoring its effectiveness and potential side effects.
Our knowledgeable pharmacists are available to address any questions you may have about your therapy, medications, equipment, and supplies. We will be there with you every step of the way. Our team will also help you determine benefit coverage and access financial assistance programs when needed.
How It Works
When you receive a prescription from Baptist Health Infusion Care Pharmacy, our pharmacists and nurses spend time with you explaining what your medication does and how to use the equipment and supplies properly, so you feel safe and confident with infusion therapy at home.
They will tell you:
- When and how your medication will be administered
- How to handle your medication(s) safely
- How to identify and prevent dangerous side effects
- What other side effects may be common and how to deal with them
- How to store and dispose of your medications safely
This clinical care and counseling continues throughout your treatment.
