Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute is the largest and most comprehensive cardiovascular facility in the region. With significant philanthropic support, the Institute completed in 2017 a $120 million expansion of its facility on the Baptist Hospital campus and has integrated cardiac and vascular services at all Baptist Health hospitals and facilities in more than 25 locations. The Institute today offers a first-in-the-world environment that maximizes physician collaboration, uses the latest technology and stands ready to usher in the next generation of innovation in cardiovascular care.
Vision For Discovery & Innovation
Clinical research, including research trials on new treatments, devices or methods that offer improved outcomes is vitally important to Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute. This research gives patients access to advanced technologies and allows us to learn how to improve care. For this reason, Baptist Health Foundation has launched the Vision for Discovery and Innovation campaign.
Expanding Our Innovation
Expansion brings visions of innovation, groundbreaking discoveries and better patient care.
That’s exactly what has happened behind the scenes of Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute’s $120 million expansion on the Baptist Hospital campus. With significant philanthropic support, we have developed state-of-the art modern facilities which mean mean space to develop new programs like the Center for Aneurysm Therapy – the first of its kind in the world – the Center for Advanced Endovascular Therapies and the Center for Structural Heart Therapy, it also includes advanced procedure suites and a larger gallery where our physicians can collaborate and teach the techniques they have pioneered to others from around the world.
As Miami Cardiac & Vascular Institute pushes patient care in new directions and builds upon its tradition of innovation, the expansion is bringing together the best and brightest minds in medicine and science. The Institute today offers a first-in-the-world environment that maximizes physician collaboration and allows us to continue to diagnose disease, research new drugs and devices and develop minimally invasive treatments. And we have created specialized programs for heart failure, vascular disease and cardiovascular risk reduction.
