Boca Raton Cyclist Grateful for Care He Received at Bethesda Hospital East's ER

Cycling in South Florida can be dangerous – just ask anyone who’s ever ridden a bike here. You have to be on constant lookout for pedestrians, pooches, potholes and other perils, not to mention the legion of distracted drivers “sharing” our roads. And sometimes you can get tangled up with a fellow rider, which is what landed Boca Raton resident Peter Quinter in the Emergency Room at Bethesda Hospital East recently with multiple fractures to his right shoulder.
Quinter, 40, an avid cyclist who rides between 200 to 300 miles a week, was grateful for the care he received at Bethesda, overseen by the hospital’s Emergency Room director, Kevin Taylor, M.D. “I would recommend Bethesda Hospital and Dr. Taylor to anyone,” he says.

Bethesda Hospital East, together with the Baptist Health Foundation, is in the midst of a $15 million fundraising campaign that will create an all-new Emergency Department with state-of-the-art technology and expanded capacity to care for patients.
