Marc Gibber, M.D., is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon at Baptist Health and serves as medical director and chief of cardiothoracic surgery at Baptist Health Bethesda Hospital East.
Dr. Gibber earned his medical degree at University of Maryland Medical School. He then completed a general surgery residency, cardiothoracic research fellowship and cardiothoracic surgery residency at University of Maryland Medical Center.
As a cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Gibber performs a wide variety of procedures, including open-heart bypass surgery, arterial grafting, valve repair or replacement, and treatment of pulmonary disease.
Before joining Baptist Health in 2021 as a surgeon, he worked as a cardiothoracic surgeon at Florida Heart and Vascular Care of Aventura.
Dr. Gibber believes that being a cardiothoracic surgeon involves more than just the surgery itself. It’s about making a personal connection with his patients and their families as he helps shepherd them to better health.
In his free time, Dr. Gibber enjoys spending time with his family and outdoor sports such as skiing and running.
